 As reported, the 2021 Travel Retail Awards will take place during

the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes

on Tuesday 28 September.

TRBusiness, travel retail’s leading provider of duty free and travel retail news, launched the first and only consumer-voted awards dedicated to the travel retail industry in 2018 in a partnership with leading Swiss consumer research company m1nd-set.

The event’s popularity among industry stakeholders was mirrored at the second edition in May 2019 with double digit growth in the number of entries. The event is now firmly established as one of the must-attend events in the industry calendar.

Following TFWA’s announcement that both the 2020 TFWA Asia Pacific Conference and Exhibition and TFWA World Exhibition have been cancelled, the Awards ceremony took place within the TRBusiness digital forum Travel Retail Marketplace (TRMarketplace) late September. Read more here…

The game-changing initiative and awards event recognises true ingenuity in travel retailing. It awards airports and products following a judging process, which involves expert research and priceless consumer blogger and video blogger feedback to crown the industry’s trailblazers.

 

 

Following popular demand and interest from the industry, the awards included the Cruise Ship Retail sector for the first time in 2020. Also new in the 2020 edition of the TRBusiness Travel Retail Awards, consumers voted for the ‘Best Airport Green Initiative’ and the ‘Best Airport Food and Beverage Offer’.
