The passenger experience is defined by all aspects of the journey through an airport. Passengers’ satisfaction with an airport’s dining, cafe and bar options is as important as their perception of the retail offer when assessing the overall passenger satisfaction with the airport experience and analysing satisfaction drivers.


The ‘Best Food & Beverage Offer at an Airport’ award, as voted by consumers, was launched in 2020, when it was won by Singapore Changi Airport. Tokyo Haneda Airport is the 2021 winner.

The award acknowledges this fast-growing sector, one which is fundamental to the passenger experience.


m1nd-set will incorporate questions on the airport food and beverage experience in the interviews they conduct with the 2,000+ international passengers who have recently travelled through at least one of the top 60 airports (measured by volume of international traffic) to assess the best airport for food and beverage.
